Your bowl or block is designed to be safe and beautiful.
Our dough bowls and blocks are hand carved and treated with a fire retardant. They are as safe as they are beautiful.
Directions for our Dough Bowls and Blocks
- Place dough bowl on smooth, hard surface in an open area.
- For even burning, keep dough bowl out of the wind or the draft of a fan or air conditioner
- Light all wicks at the same time. The first time you burn the candle, allow it to burn for up to 3 hours or until the wax has melted to the edges.
- NEVER LEAVE UNATTENDED!
- Burn no more than 3 hours at a time.
- Trim wicks if necessary but not too short.
- Candle is done when only ½ of an inch of wax remains in the bowl. Over burning with no wax left in the bowl could cause fire!
- Dough bowls and blocks can be refilled locally by us or with one of our easy-to-use refill kits or repurposed as home décor! Order a refill kit here:

Wood is a natural material. Over time, with changes in temperature, small cracks can develop that can cause leakage. If the candle bowl leaks, wipe away with a clean cloth. If wax has already hardened, a spatula can be used to gently scrape away the wax.
